Tokyo(pics)'s red light district and shopping area par excellence. Kabukicho in Shinjuku cannot disappoint whatever you're in the mood for :D. There's lots of hostess bars and some love hotels conveniently located nearby in case of a "good match" with a hostess. The name of the neighborhood comes from the kabuki theater which was supposed to be built here but never was.

Picture of Kabukicho neighborhood, Tokyo City, Japan, January 2006 by Parent (Tokyo Red Light District, Shopping District, Nightlife District) As in many other areas of Tokyo, it is forbidden to smoke while walking on the streets of Kabukicho. I'm not sure if it's actually dangerous, but the streets used to become dirty with cigarette butts especially late at night. (164.23 KB) Photo viewed 1257 times
