Shimbashi is a working class nightlife neighborhood popular with the Tokyo(pics) salarymen. There's lots of restaurants and Izakaya's as well as a small red-light district.

Shiodome Neighborhood by Parent. Located in Minato-Ku nearby Ginza and the Tokyo Bay, the Shiodome is one of the three skyscraper clusters in Tokyo along with Shinjuku and Marunouchi. Its a must-stop on the way to Odaiba if only to see its 13 modern skyscrapers.. Distance from Shimbashi: 0.3km SE, 9 pictures.

Uchisaiwaicho Neighborhood by Parent. Here are a few pictures nearby Uchisaiwaicho.. Distance from Shimbashi: 0.4km NNW, 19 pictures.

Ginza Neighborhood by Parent. The top shopping district in Tokyo and Japan and one of the greatest shopping districts in the world, Ginza is particularly fun to roam around on sundays when the streets are closed to vehicular traffic. The name Ginza.. Distance from Shimbashi: 0.8km NE, 46 pictures.
