Similarly to Toyosu(pics) in Koto-ku, Toyocho has received much development since the Yurikamome line was built in 1988. The area looks fresh with some good urbanism.

Picture of Toyocho neighborhood, Tokyo City, Japan, April 2006 by Parent (Tokyo Middle Class Residential Neighborhood) Note the sign on the upper left: this says the dentist is ahead, after turning right and coming back in the next street. [[Addresses in Japan|Japanese addressing system]] are rather complicated even for locals, and extra signs are needed for navigation. (540.25 KB) Photo viewed 1004 times

Picture of Toyocho neighborhood, Tokyo City, Japan, April 2006 by Parent (Tokyo Middle Class Residential Neighborhood) A [[danchi]]. A danchi is an apartment complex sometimes found in the suburbs or newly developed areas. There's some more nearby in the {{Toyosu}} neighborhood, and in the Tama Plaza suburb for instance. I believe this is the driving license center on the right (one of the three major ones in Tokyo). When going there, no need to bring a beautiful picture with you, they'll insist on taking a very ugly one for free :D. (624.02 KB) Photo viewed 857 times
